It was Apple iPhone-day over here in the cafeteria (we call our work place a cafeteria!!!) Yes guys the whole day only one discussion that, Apple is really running in it’s top gear to get increasingly customers for its major product called, iPhone.
First news we met with today was about iPhone 5, that iPhone 5 is coming with dual mode ‘world’ phone supporting both GSM and CDMA networks and later on we heard that Apple is coming with cheaper version of iPhone 4 with its 8GB memory. Isn’t it exciting? Yes, it is. The people who use smart phone, ask them selves how many of you are really use more than 10 GB in your phone? Come on guys its a phone not a desktop have mercy on it, anyway. Currently Apple sells 16 and 32 GB versions of iPhone 4. According the the analyst, Apple is targeting the emerging markets with 8GB iPhone 4 as it believe lower coast of iPhone 4 will boost the sales. Apple might target the users who want to try out budget smartphones in the $150 - $200 range. However, given the historical data, Apple seldom sells its products for lower price than competition. It’s actually the ‘Apple’ brand that attracts customers who are willing to pay more price for the iGadgets.
This development is indeed interesting as there are strong rumors in the tech-world that Apple is just few weeks away from introducing the next iPhone along with iOS 5. It’s being learned that iPhone 4 with 8GB storage will make a debut in about 4 weeks from now. If Apple actually introduces lower storage capacity iPhone, then it would be quite interesting to see how the competition reacts. Currently Samsung, LG and HTC have their phones in the market that rival iPhone. However, a cheaper iPhone would mean Apple, with its solid brand name, would make the competition rethink their product strategy and pricing.
Would you go for iPhone 4 with 8GB storage? We’re always interested in knowing from our readers!
